Hey TaylorIsHere - amazing tip! We always recommend users include a special character or a number in their triggers so they don't unintentionally expand.

I'm OG in textexpansion (since TextExpander!) - and I used to use "," ... but when you have a CSV that you need to play with, that got in the way.

Is there a way to change the expansion trigger for all of them at one time?

Hey Carol Gualtieri - the easiest way would probably be use the JSON import. Click "Import" on the right side and you'll see a JSON of all your shortcuts. The left side is the triggers and the right side is the bodies. You can change all the triggers here, and then re-import the shortcuts.

I start everything with <, it's way more comfortable :)

Hi Kate - thanks for the reply. I tried getting into the JSon and I was unable to make it stick. Am I supposed to hit save somewhere. After I did a search and replace I looked for a way to save it, so I exited out and now it is back to the original format. Any suggestions?

Yes, there is an 'Import' button at the bottom of the Import dialog. After you search and replace, press the 'Import' button. Carol Gualtieri

It's interfeereing a lot with the interface, and it's unnecesarry, even worst, it can't seem to be deactivated.
